UN International Day of Victims of Terrorism||02 August 2020

The ‘’International Day for the Remembrance of Victim of Terrorism’’ was organized by the Global Counter Terrorism Council on 21 of August 2020. The program was initiated with an opening remarks about the topic from the GCTC team followed by Minute silence for the remembering the victims of Terrorism. The session continued with the presentation from prominent speakers such as Dr. Kanwal Sibal-IFS(Retd), Chairman, Advisory Board-GCTC, and Former Foreign Secretary, Government of India, Maj. Siddharth Chatterjee-UN Resident Coordinator, UN in Kenya, Shri Mahaveer Singhvi-IFS Joint Secretary(Counter Terrorism), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The program was followed by the experiences from the victims of Global war on Terrorism; Nicolas Henin-Senior Journalist, Levent Altan-ExecutiveDirectr- Victims Support Europe(TBC), Sajid Yousuf-Socio-Political Analysts, Lawyer and victim of Terrorism, Zameer Sheikh, Artist and Victim of Terrorism, Prof. I.K.Bhat,-Vice Chancellor-Manav Rachna University and victims of Terrorism, Dr. Sushma Shalla-Gynaecologist and Obstetrician and Victims of Terrorism, and the closing remarks was given by Rear Admiral (Dr) Sanatan Kulshreshtha-Executive Council Member of GCTC.
