GCTC Yuva Manthan: Relevance of BRI || 30 April 2020

The transcontinental long term and investment programme (BRI) pioneered and envisaged by China in 2015, has in a very short period of time assumed a colossal amount of significance in the global economic front. With the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic, global economies have suffered tremendously. Needless to say, inter-connectedness and co-operation among the global economies will be two of the major factors in rejuvenation of Global economy. Naturally, The BRI initiative will assume greater importance in the post covid world. On the same line of thought and analysis, GCTC had organised a conference keeping the importance of BRI in the post pandemic world, as the major theme on 30th April, 2020.The conference was illuminated by astute speakers like: General Daya Rathnayake – 20th Commander of the Sri Lankan Army, Mr. Naser Sherazi, Mr. Gautam Bambawale, IFS, Mr. Rajat Khaturia-Chief Executive at Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), Lt. General K.J. Singh, Prof. Swaran Singh, Mr. Lucio III Pitlo, Mr. Ksenia Kuzmina, Captain Alok Bansal, Dr. Prabir Dey.
Our illuminated speakers once again reiterated the importance of the BRI on the global economic front and has also immensely helped our research coordinators and other delegates present, to gain a more vivid perspective on the issue.
